LSCB partner agencies offer ‘in house’ safeguarding training for their own staff and volunteers. Below are details of how you can find out more about what training might be available to you via your employing or umbrella agency.

London Borough of Redbridge
A number of training programmes are available to staff working within the London Borough of Redbridge. Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) have a specially commissioned Training Programme as part of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) Programme. For more information, contact workforcedevelopment@Redbridge.gov.uk.
For training provided corporately by HR, please contact HRlearning@Redbridge.gov.uk or call HR Direct on 020 8708 3000. There is also information on the Intranet. There are modules on the Borough’s elearning portal Learning Zone which are relevant to safeguarding.
Employees of London Borough of Redbridge and key LSCB partners additionally have access to the Research in Practice (RiP) Delivery Programme.
LBR Early Years & Childcare Training Programme
The Summer 2018 Training Programme for early years and childcare providers includes a number of safeguarding children courses including Safeguarding Level 1 and Level 2, Risk Assessments and the Common Assessment Framework (CAF).
NELFT practitioners can access information with regard to requirements for safeguarding training on the NELFT Intranet Training and Development page, where you will find the Training Matrix and the Training Course Calendar.
Redbridge CCG clinical and non-clinical staff have access to a wide range of safeguarding training – both face-to-face and elearning. Further information is available on the staff Intranet.
LBR Education Welfare Training Service for Schools
The Borough’s Education Welfare Service provide a range of safeguarding training courses for school staff, school govenors, foster carers and other groups . See flyer. The Service can also provide safeguarding supervision for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) in school. See flyer.
Redbridge Council of Voluntary Services (RCVS)
